The other thing to ask is have you tried viewing the video directly onto your TV i.e. I have found that you can reduce to around 80% without too much deterioration in quality. When you go to make the disk, select AVCHD as the type and then go into the settings and check that everything is OK (see screenshot below).įor best quality (max bitrate of 17000 Kbits/sec) you need to have no more than 35min of video to write to the disk, if you have more then you will have to reduce the quality (via the bitrate option in the settings dialog box) until it will fit on the DVD. If you are not, then Pinnacle is downsampling your video to SD quality. Are you burning AVCHD format DVD disks? When I say this, I am referring to how the disk is burnt, not the format of the original DVD disk (which can be DVD -R, DVD +R etc.).
